GATEX was established in Kaçanik, Kosovo, starting with the coating and finishing of glass fibre mesh on its first coating line; a second coating line followed in 2018.
In November 2019 GATEX installed its first 16 weaving machines and began weaving its own mesh from glass fibre yarn and roving, completing the production cycle from warping and weaving to coating and finishing.
We achieved TÜV verification and secured ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certifications. That same year, GATEX became ETAG 004 compliant and earned CE marking, establishing a strong foundation for European market expansion.
GATEX strengthened its REACH compliance framework and introduced its internal Climate Neutral commitment, reinforcing the company’s long-term focus on product safety, environmental responsibility and more sustainable manufacturing practices.
GATEX reached an important technical milestone with European Technical Assessment ETA-24/0211 issued by ZAG, while expanding production capacity and securing new space for the company’s future industrial development.
We plan to introduce new mesh variants tailored for specialized insulation systems and expand our logistics capacity and partnership network across Central and Southern Europe—continuing to build on our values of certified quality, regional strength, and production precision.

Our mesh strengthens ETICS systems by preventing cracks, stress, and delamination. It’s compatible with all major adhesives, profiles, and insulation boards ensuring long-term façade durability.
